BaFin Releases the Latest Warning List for 2025

As of March 28, 2025, the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority ( BaFin ) issued a March warning list to protect investors from illegal financial activities and maintain financial market stability. Since its establishment in 2002, BaFin has shouldered the responsibility of supervising the German financial market and is committed to ensuring the fairness, transparency, and order of the market.

This warning list covers numerous companies and websites that conduct financial business without authorization. Some of these companies use highly attractive high-yield investment projects as a guise to deceive investors into getting involved. However, these companies lack the legal qualifications to conduct financial business in Germany, and their promised high returns have no reliable basis. From page design to the service process, they are extremely similar to legitimate financial institutions, thus defrauding users of their account information and funds, causing serious economic losses to investors.

BaFin specifically pointed out that it is necessary to obtain clear authorization from BaFin in advance to engage in financial, investment, or encrypted asset services in Germany. Before making any investment decisions, investors must carefully verify the authorization status of relevant companies and websites through BaFin's official database.
