Abstract:CySEC has paused Conotoxia Ltd’s investment license as part of a regulatory review. The firm has one month to meet governance and compliance conditions.
The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) has temporarily paused the license of investment firm Conotoxia Ltd. The decision comes as the regulator examines several compliance areas related to corporate structure and operational safeguards.
According to the official announcement, CySEC identified areas requiring attention under the Investment Services and Regulated Markets Law. These relate to the companys internal management, shareholder suitability, and its overall organizational framework designed to protect clients.
During the review period, Conotoxia Ltd is not permitted to offer investment services or onboard new clients. The company is also asked to refrain from marketing its services until all issues have been addressed. A one-month deadline has been set for the firm to demonstrate full compliance.
CySEC clarified that this pause is part of its routine supervision to ensure firms licensed in Cyprus continue to meet high governance and transparency standards. The regulator emphasized that such steps are preventive and designed to maintain market stability and investor confidence.
The development follows recent updates from Conotoxias affiliated Polish brand, Cinkciarz.pl, which faced regulatory actions earlier this year. Several online services under the group were taken offline pending further assessments. Conotoxia Holding, the parent company, has yet to issue a new public statement.
This latest announcement highlights the growing focus among regulators on strengthening oversight and enforcing transparency across Europes investment industry. It also reflects the increasing scrutiny on cross-border financial groups operating within the EU framework.
Market participants are encouraged to verify the licensing status of investment providers through official channels, such as the CySEC public register or trusted third-party platforms.
