At EBC Financial Group (EBC), our definition of success extends far beyond financial figures. It's about the positive impact we make on lives, communities, and future generations. This ethos drives our partnership with the Shakti Regeneration Institute (SRI), a collaboration aimed at supporting marginalised communities, preserving Indigenous knowledge, and fostering sustainability.
Transforming Lives Through Education in India
For over 25 years, the Ramakrishna Vedanta Vidyapith school in West Bengal has been providing educational opportunities to children and women from disadvantaged backgrounds, paving the way for brighter futures for many families.
Through our collaboration with SRI, we directly contribute to the education of 50 students by providing essential resources such as uniforms, materials, and vocational training in sewing.
Behind-the-scenes of an Interview with David Barrett and Indrani Pal-Chaudhuri
David Barrett, CEO of EBC Financial Group (UK) Ltd, commented, “At EBC, we recognise that the true power of education creates the foundation for transforming societies and creating pathways to lasting change. Our partnership with Shakti Regeneration Institute is more than a sponsorship—it reflects our dedication to uplifting the next generation, as we support the Ramakrishna Vedanta Vidyapith school in equipping marginalised children with the tools they need to thrive.”
Highlighting Indigenous Voices in Film
EBC is honoured to support #TheRegenerationGeneration, a documentary by Indrani Pal-Chaudhuri that fosters important discussions on sustainability, ecosystem conservation, and Indigenous heritage. By supporting this project, we help bring these often-overlooked perspectives to the forefront of global dialogues in the realms of finance and business.
Indrani Pal-Chaudhuri is an acclaimed filmmaker, activist, and artist, known for her collaborations with cultural icons such as David Bowie, Beyoncé, and Deepak Chopra. Her work has earned recognition at the United Nations and UNESCO, where she has worked tirelessly to elevate the voices of Indigenous and marginalised communities.
The documentary #TheRegenerationGeneration emphasises the growing need for regenerative finance and education, featuring contributions from influential figures including Nobel Prize winners, innovators, business leaders, educators, and Indigenous leaders. The film draws attention to the challenges faced by Indigenous communities, particularly in the Amazon, where environmental degradation threatens both their cultural heritage and the planets biodiversity.
Ajay Pal-Chaudhuri, Chairman and Founder of Shakti Regeneration Institute, shared, “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with EBC Financial Group, a collaboration that embodies the convergence of corporate responsibility and global impact. Together, we embark on a transformative journey, combining our strengths in education and ecological advocacy to empower communities worldwide. With EBC's support, we are not only empowering marginalised children through education but also raising global awareness about the critical challenges facing Indigenous communities and the plight of vulnerable ecosystems.”
Collaborating with the University of Oxford's Department of Economics to Promote Sustainability
At EBC, our commitment to education extends beyond the classroom. In partnership with the University of Oxford's Department of Economics, we sponsor episodes of What Economists Really Do, where topics such as Macroeconomics and Climate are discussed. These discussions aim to bridge academic theory and real-world applications, equipping people with the knowledge to make informed decisions for a sustainable future.
“Through our involvement in the #TheRegenerationGeneration 2025 documentary, we are amplifying the voices of Indigenous communities and supporting the preservation of their cultural and environmental heritage,” explains Barrett. “Similarly, our collaboration with the University of Oxford's Department of Economics on their WERD program underscores our dedication to enhancing global understanding of critical economic and societal issues. By investing in education at every level, we aim to create opportunities, promote equity, and address the challenges of our time. These efforts align seamlessly with our core values of integrity, responsibility, and sustainability.”
Shaping a Better Future
From empowering education initiatives in West Bengal to integrating Indigenous sustainability practices into global finance discussions, EBC Financial Group remains dedicated to using finance as a tool for positive change.

This is not a side initiative; it is core to how we lead in the financial industry. Real change comes not from empty promises, but from consistent and strategic action, and that is what we are committed to delivering.
